Scaler for Pepper

We helped develop the application that is installed by default on the humanoid robot, Pepper called “Scaler”. Once the application is run, if reachable, Pepper will measure the height of the child with his hand, if the person happens to be taller, Pepper will use a 3D scanning feature to measure the height.

After measuring the height, Pepper will take a photo in celebration and store the photo and height measurement.

We originally had the predecessor to Pepper, Nao by Aldebaran which provided us with prior experience of programming with a robot which then led to the development of a program we made with Pepper.

We had the pleasure to help with the fantastic idea where children’s growth is recorded with the days spent with Pepper, and turning it into reality.
